Seminary programs offer weekday religious instruction for youth to help students deepen their commitment to Jesus Christ and discover spiritual direction for their lives. Students may enroll in seminary if they are at least in the ninth grade (or equivalent) and will turn 14 years of age or older during the school year. 

 

Seminary courses are taught on a prescribed four-year repeating cycle so students will have the opportunity to complete all four courses during the four years of their secondary education. Seminary curriculum pacing follows the 52-week pacing of the Churchwide Come, Follow Me gospel study program. 

 

One seminary credit is granted upon completion of the full course of study for the scripture. 

 

Seminary Courses

Old Testament
Credits: 1 credit
The purpose of this course is to help youth deepen their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven through the study of the Old Testament.

The purpose of this course is to help youth deepen their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven through the study of the New Testament.

Credits: 1 credit
