Registration in mySeminary is required yearly. For every year that a student is planning to attend seminary, they must be re-registered.
To register your student in seminary, please follow these steps:
- Go to mySeminary.churchofjesuschrist.org and sign in with your church account. Upon logging in, you will be presented with a menu with the names of all your children eligible for seminary enrollment, as shown below.
Note: Because student registration is required yearly, a student's registration status is reset January 1 of each year. The Not Registered status is indicative of the upcoming year.
- Click on the name of the child that you would like to register. Their full profile will appear as shown below. To begin the registration process, click the Registration button.
- Select the anticipated graduation year from the dropdown menu.
- After selecting the student’s graduation year, click on the location tab. Here you will choose the seminary building that your child will attend.
- If you do not see the correct building, use the Address Search tab.
- After selecting a seminary building, click on the Guardian Contact tab. Here, you will add contact information that will be linked to the student’s seminary profile. Use the check boxes to designate a primary contact.
- Lastly, click on the Participation Policy tab. Read through the basic agreement. Check the box below it to certify that you have read and you accept the agreement.
- Click Submit.
FAQ
Question: "I have a recently baptized graduating senior who is 18 years old. They filled out the paper registration form themself. Their parents are not members. Do they still need to have them sign the form even though they are 18?"
Answer: "If they are 18, they can sign the registration form themself."
Question: "I am noticing a new option to mark students as eligible or not eligible. In the past, the option used to let us mark too old, too young, or other (such as if they did not want to take seminary). What do we do now to account for any students who do not want to take seminary?"
Answer: "You will mark any student who is 14- 18 years of age as eligible. There are special circumstances where a student can be marked as ineligible but any student in that age range should be marked as eligible."
