For parents looking to excuse their student’s absences in mySeminary, follow these steps:
Step 1: Log into mySeminary
After logging in, you will see any students connected to your account who are enrolled in seminary or close to enrollment.
Click View Details for the student you need to excuse.
Step 2: Review Student Overview
On the overview page, you can see:
- Total credits earned
- Current term information
- Whether the parent agreement has been signed
- Registration status for the next school year
Click View Details again to open attendance information.
Step 3: Open Attendance Details
The Attendance section will display:
- Attendance percentage
- Total attendance count
- Any unexcused absences
If there are unexcused absences, the section will appear in red.
Click View Details again to open the attendance calendar.
Step 4: Excuse Absences
You can:
- Select Excuse All Absences
- Or scroll down and excuse absences individually on the calendar
Unexcused absences are marked with a red exclamation icon.
Step 5: Excuse Individual Days
Click on the day you want to excuse.
- Once selected, the color will change to indicate the absence has been excused.
- Clicking the day again will return it to unexcused.
The legend below the calendar explains each attendance icon and status.
Important Note
Students cannot be marked excused until the teacher has first marked them absent.

- Or the student’s teacher
