The Purpose of myInstitute
The purpose of myInstitute is to help people register for Institute classes, track reading progress and attendance, prepare students for Institute graduation, and provide helpful information about their local Institute program and classes available.
Institute Global Page
This is the homepage of myInstitute. The main function of the institute global page is to help you find an Institute close to you. As you scroll down, you will also find links to some helpful articles and resources, along with the Church Newsroom headlines.
Find an Institute
From the Institute Global page, click on Find an Institute to see a map view of Institutes across the world or Find Classes Near Me to search for a class near you. For an in-depth tutorial on how to find the right class for you, see the article Finding an Institute Class.
Each Institute program has its own page where all its classes, faculty, and general information are listed. You may access your local Institute program’s page by using the Find an Institute search function or clicking on the Institute from your Dashboard.
Dashboard
When you log into myInstitute, you will be taken to your dashboard. Within your dashboard, you will see 4 main sections: Classes, This Week’s Readings, News, and Institutes.

This Week’s Readings
This section shows the reading assignments that need to be completed this week.
News
The News section will show you news or announcements posted by any Institutes that you are currently attending or have attended in the past.
Institutes
This section displays quick links to all the Institute programs that you have attended. You can click on a program listed here to view the main page of that Institute. If an Institute program is in this list, you will receive announcements for it in the news section. You may remove a program from this list by clicking the delete button next to it.
Your Profile
Select the profile icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. From here, you can edit your contact information, change your preferred first name, and add a profile picture.
Progress
Click on the Progress tab to see detailed information about which classes you have taken. At the top of the page, you will see how many cornerstone credits and elective credits you have earned. To see which courses have fulfilled which requirements, click on the check box for either credit type and the courses that fulfill that credit type will be highlighted.
You must earn 8 cornerstone credits and 6 elective credits in order to graduate. Repeating a cornerstone course will not offer additional cornerstone credits, instead, it will reward elective credits. Completing the same course a third time will not reward any credits that count towards Institute graduation.
Institute students receive credit by attending 75 percent of the classes held, completing assigned readings (100 percent for scripture courses and 75 percent for all other courses), and completing the course elevate learning experiences.
Schedule
This menu displays your Institute schedule on a daily, weekly, or monthly view. This is especially useful if you are taking multiple classes, as it allows you to see the schedule for all of your classes at once. You can filter which Institute programs you see by using the dropdown menu at the top.
Readings
The Readings menu displays the readings for each of your classes and what percentage you have completed. To mark a reading as completed, click the checkbox next to the reading.
Attendance
This page shows your attendance statistics for all classes you are registered for. You can see how many days you were present or absent, along with the total percentage of days you attended to ensure you are on track to receive credit for the class.
