Some institute programs operate on a quarter system rather than a traditional semester schedule.
Regardless of the academic calendar used by a program, Institute credit is recorded as semester credit. Using a consistent semester-credit standard helps students who take classes from multiple programs and supports the transfer of Institute credit to Church colleges and universities.
For quarter-system programs, students earn one semester credit for each term completed. Although quarter terms may be shorter than a semester, credit is awarded using the same semester-credit standard used across Institute programs.
