When you log into your church account on myseminary.churchofjesuschrist.org, you will see your seminary-aged children as shown in the screenshot below:
If you cannot, there are a few different reasons why. Consider the following:
- You are logging in to the wrong church account
- Your student’s MRN is not connected to your MRN
- The graduation year is not set correctly in WISE
- You need to clear cache and cookies
- A bug in the system
Church Account
Your seminary-aged children will appear in mySeminary for you when they are connected to your church account through you and your child’s Membership Record Numbers (MRNs). If you are logging into an account that is not connected to your MRN, you will not see your child in mySeminary. Please ensure that the username you are using is connected to your MRN. If it is not, log into your church account and add your MRN. If you are still having issues, please reach out to the Global Service Department here.
Membership Record Number
Another common reason to not see your child in mySeminary is because your MRN is not connected to their MRN. To resolve this issue, we recommend reaching out to your ward clerk to confirm that the MRNs are connected. If they are not, your ward clerk will be able to connect them.
Graduation Year
If your MRNs are connected and you are still unable to see your child, it may be due to your child’s graduation year being set incorrectly in WISE. This can be fixed on your student’s profile in WISE by either their teacher or the Administrative Assistant for the program. If you confirmed with your ward clerk that your MRNs are connected, please contact their teacher or Administrative Assistant to check the student’s graduation year.
Cache and Cookies
Sometimes mySeminary has errors when the page has a cached session. An easy fix is to clear your cache and cookies. For more information on how to do this, see the article How to Clear Cache and Cookies.
Possible System Bug
If you have reached out to all the people above and everything looks correct, then there may be a bug in our system preventing your child from showing up for you. If this is the case, please have either your child’s teacher or the program Administrative Assistant reach out to the GSD for further help.
