Change to Diploma Paper and Covers — 2026 Rollout

Starting this month, new S&I Diploma Paper will be available for both seminary and institute diplomas. In March 2026, updated Diploma Covers will be released, now with distinct designs for seminary and institute (replacing the single shared S&I cover).

  • Diploma paper: When available, destroy all remaining old paper and order/use the new paper immediately.
  • Diploma covers:Use existing cover stock first; once depleted, order the Seminary Diploma Cover or Institute Diploma Cover as appropriate. Programs that already ordered for this year will adopt the new covers beginning with 2027 graduations.

Key Dates

  • February 2026: New S&I Diploma Paper available for seminary and institute diplomas.
  • March 2026: Updated Diploma Covers released, now with distinct designs for seminary and institute (previously a single shared cover).

Languages

  • Diplomas & certificates (WISE): Available in 38 curriculum languages; printed from WISE.
  • Diploma covers (printed; two types): Beginning March 2026, the single shared S&I cover is replaced by two distinct covers— the Seminary Diploma Cover and the Institute Diploma Cover. Both covers are available in 13 languages: Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Samoan, Spanish, Tongan.
  • If your program’s cover language is not listed, select English or another available cover language.

Ordering

S&I Diploma Paper, Seminary Diploma Covers, and Institute Diploma Covers will be available at store.ChurchofJesusChrist.org or through local service centers where the online store is not available. Certificates are printed on a high-quality paper of your choosing.

Detailed Procedures & Guidance

Implementation note: Print diplomas via WISE using the new paper beginning in March; for best results, download PDFs and print with Adobe Acrobat rather than a browser viewer. Do not mix old and new covers in the same ceremony—if you don’t have enough old covers, use the new covers exclusively for that event.
